Pitting forms in these holes from a chemical reaction on the pipe surface. JD Fields & Company has spent the last three decades perfecting maintenance and corrosion prevention. Every piece of pipe is inventoried and cataloged. Once the pipe is placed in inventory it is assigned a maintenance schedule. It is inspected twice yearly at a minimum. We blast, brush, roll, and spray based on need. All data is carefully recorded throughout this process to maintain integrity and mill certification. At the finishing end, pipes are re-stenciled to the original manufacturing data. This process preserves the integrity and traceability in a highly regulated market.
